Figurative language

Figurative language makes people like myself make comparisons that may not appear or seem true and seem to have nothing to do with each other. This is why when i heard that we would be working on and studying them i was not excited. I remembered how i learned about them in high school and how it was hard sometimes to come up with similes and metaphors for different situations and sentences. And now i was going to have to do it ago. Well to my surprise they weren't as bad as i once remembered. I was able to fly through such sentences as: A rainbow is like a box of crayons and A waterfall is as refreshing as my shower. I actually had quite a lot of fun making these sentences and enjoyed the break from learning about social media. Metaphors were a lot harder than similes but after a while i got the hang of it. In conclusion i had a great time refreshing on my figurative language skills.
